We are pleased to announce that Beth will be speaking at the 2025 Building Envelope Design and Insulation Conference in Riyadh. She will be joining the Panel Discussion:

Panel Discussion: Fire Safety in the Age of Smart Envelopes – 13:30, 10 September 2025
• Impact of updated building codes and international fire codes on smart envelope design
• Navigating compliance while integrating advanced materials and technologies
• Managing risks from flammable materials, complex assemblies, and ventilation pathways
• Using non-combustible materials, fire stops, and tested systems to contain fire spread
• Exploring responsive façades and smart systems that support safer evacuation and suppression

Beth brings 25 years of experience in the fire safety industry. For 18 of those years, she specialized in fire testing—assessing the fire performance of products and systems. Alongside her hands-on expertise with established fire test methods, and advising end users regarding what installation variations are covered by the tests conducted, her career also includes significant contributions to the development of new fire test methods. Through committee work, leading research, and collaborative projects, Beth has helped shape new standards that respond to emerging risks and harness advances in technology.

Today, she regularly advises on fire safety strategies for construction projects, offering holistic solutions that integrate fire performance with wider project goals. Beth’s work extends to site work, this includes the consideration of defects at existing buildings, working with project teams to determine appropriate remediation measures.

Much of Beth’s current work focuses on building envelopes, where she is committed to ensuring that even the most ambitious and innovative designs are underpinned by robust fire safety measures that deliver resilient and compliant external wall systems.
