As Head of Digital Innovation, Sophie's mission is to reimagine strategic design by utilising digital technology through innovative approaches. After 11 years of working as a Fire Engineer both in London and Dubai, Sophie set up FireTreks, a yearlong research project which aimed to discover more about fire practices across South America. One of the key outcomes of this research highlighted the importance of accessible data to provide suitable strategic decisions with the resources available. This led to a re-evaluation of how fire engineers could produce the necessary outputs required for strategic design. Since 2020 and now at Maze Fire Consulting she is driving innovations to process data more efficiently to streamline engineering calculations, reporting and graphics and integrate ‘Fire’ into the BIM environment.
