The project involved the refurbishment of an existing portfolio of adjoining office buildings in the heart of Dublin City, to allow the buildings to be repurposed for lease to the commercial market.
Maze Fire personnel played a crucial role in formulating the fire safety and disability access strategies for this portfolio, successfully balancing the needs of the proposed occupancy profile for each building with the constraints posed by the existing structure. Particular care was given in designing access and facilities for the Fire Service, which are now effectively enabled at all levels.
The scope of services provided by Maze Fire personnel was comprehensive, including site inspections and on-going advice during the refurbishment works, to achieve certification of the building in accordance with the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations.
