Mary joined the fire industry in 2020 having previously taught psychology, giving her an excellent understanding of human behaviour in fire. Mary pays close attention to changes in codes and regulations to ensure that her clients are kept well informed at the earliest stages of a project and updated throughout. She has a keen interest in research, serving on the IAFSS Human Behaviour in Fire Working Group and using the latest evidence to guide her fire strategies and advice. Mary also serves as a director of Women Talking Fire, helping to organise conferences and training events to support the development of others in the industry.
